Rust is one of those household problems that most people reach for harsh, chemical-laden products to solve. The fumes, the skin irritation, the environmental impact — it's a lot to accept just to get your pots, stainless steel, and garden tools looking clean again. At Yeronga Kitchen Lab, we developed a better answer: our Eco Multi-Purpose Cleaning Bombs.
Developed by Yeronga Kitchen Lab for Tough Jobs, Without the Toxins
Our cleaning bombs were formulated in our Brisbane lab specifically to tackle rust and stubborn grime on the surfaces that matter most around the home and garden — without synthetic fumes, without harsh acids, and without single-use plastic. Every batch is made by hand, with the same care and quality control we apply to all of our products.
Where They Work Best
Our eco cleaning bombs are particularly effective on:
- Stainless steel — sinks, benchtops, appliances, and cookware that have developed rust spots or discolouration
- Garden tools — spades, trowels, secateurs, and other tools that rust from regular outdoor exposure
- Pots and cookware — cast iron, enamel, and other pot surfaces where rust or mineral build-up has taken hold
Eco-Friendly and Completely Fume-Free
Conventional rust removers rely on strong acids and chemical solvents that produce fumes you really shouldn't be breathing in — especially in enclosed spaces like kitchens and laundries. Our cleaning bombs are formulated to be effective without any of that. No fumes, no harsh chemical smell, no need to ventilate the room or wear gloves just to clean your sink.
They're safe to use around the home, kind to surfaces, and far gentler on the environment than conventional rust treatments.
How to Use: Drop, Soak, Done
The method couldn't be simpler — no spraying, no scrubbing, straight away, just let the bomb do the work:
- Fill a bucket, basin, or container with enough water to submerge the item.
- Drop in one cleaning bomb and allow it to fully dissolve.
- Submerge the rusted item — your garden tool, pot, or stainless steel piece — and leave it to soak.
- For light rust, 15–30 minutes is usually enough. For heavier build-up, leave overnight for best results.
- Remove, give a light scrub if needed, and rinse clean.
Tip: For larger garden tools that won't fully submerge, soak a cloth in the dissolved solution and wrap it around the rusted area instead.
Zero Waste by Design
Each pack contains 15 cleaning bombs — compact tablets that dissolve in water to create a powerful soaking solution. No heavy plastic bottles, no bulky liquid to ship. Just drop a bomb in water, and you're ready to go.
