We had been trialling dishwasher sheets for around a month. While they actually cleaned the dishes really well, one thing I didn't like was that they were made in China.We have a Fisher & Paykel double drawer dishwasher that's only a little over a year old. Out of nowhere it started leaking water, so we had a technician come out who found a blockage. Then it happened again and I started wondering if the dishwasher sheets were the cause. When I mentioned this to the technician, he immediately said that was likely the problem. Apparently some dishwasher sheets can foam up too much, which may cause issues in certain machines. So it's something to be aware of if you're using them.I started looking for an alternative and was so pleased to find this Australian made dishwasher powder. Most dishwasher detergents seem to be made in China or Poland these days. As far as I'm aware, this is one of the few Australian made options available.I like that it has simple ingredients, is fragrance free and comes from a smaller Australian owned company. The biggest test though was how well it cleaned, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It left everything sparkling clean, including glasses, with no residue.Overall, this has been an excellent replacement for our dishwasher sheets and I'll happily keep using it. It's great to be able to support an Australian made product that performs so well.

I've had a bad run with dishwashing tablets and sheets lately, so I liked the idea of using dishwashing powder (approved by whales). I really liked the values and ingredients in the Yetonga Kitchen Lab dishwashing powder so I got it to give it a go.Ooh boy. This stuff has exceeded my jaded expectations. I followed the instructions with the powder dispenser and even added some to the floor of the dishwasher for the prewash cycle, not expecting it to do much.But soiled pots are gleaming and spotless. Stained teacups are not perfect but significantly cleaner. Everything is actually clean (unlike the last four products I've tried)! And it smells clean, too. I love that there's no gross residue, just clean crockery, pots, and cups.I honestly didn't expect much from this dishwashing powder but I'm amazed by how clean my dishes are, how pleasant and fresh the dishwasher smells, and how easy this is to use. My new favourite go-to dishwashing product.

I’ve used this dishwasher powder for two washes so far and I’m really impressed with how well it’s worked. It gives a really solid clean, I love how versatile it is in powder form, and there were no strange lingering odours left behind on the dishes or inside my dishwasher. Everything came out fresh, clean, and without any noticeable residue, which is exactly what I’m looking for.It’s also really easy to use, simple scoop, add it in, and let the dishwasher do its thing. Overall, I’m really pleased with this. It’s been effective so far and feels like a great alternative to the usual dishwasher products.

This is by far some of the better powders I've used. I've been trialling the sheets for both my laundry and dishwasher for a few months now and found that I had to leave some dishes in there for a second or third wash. I also found that sometimes half a sheet would still be stuck inside the reservoir after a full intense wash.During testing this powder I had a few dishes in there from a previous wash that weren't cleaned properly, but they came out perfect after using this product, as did the rest of the dishes in there. I think I've been converted.I use the dishwasher as intended always of course. Both prewash and wash compartments are used and I regularly run cleaning cycles each month/two months. So everything is well maintained.I tested a few different levels of scoops, and while I can't produce uniform dirty dishes for each test. I found that this works well even at half a scoop. Or half in the prewash, and half in the main wash. Too much soap can leave residue on your dishes. But you'll know your washer best. The instructions on the packet aren't always best suited to your setup.
